L. Tom Perry

March 11, 2012
Dear Family and Friends,
What a week. We had an amazing opportunity to have an all mission conference.  Elder L. Tom Perry was the guest speaker and we had all 250 missionaries there and it was the most incredible thing to sing "Called to Serve" all together. The spirit was so strong. It is wonderful to be a missionary. We are working each day to improve. We learned that there are only 6 chapters in the Book of Mormon that don't mention the Savior. It truly is another witness of Jesus Christ.
We have been working to prepare recent converts to go to the temple to do baptisms for the dead with family file names. Grandma Duncan was saying, "That would be so fun to start someone's family tree." It has been great. Itha one of our new converts called us on the cell phone before we could get home from our meeting with her to say that when she put in her grandfather's name he was in the system and someone was doing his temple work. She was so surprised. We will be going with them to the Fresno Temple on Friday the 16th. That is our anniversary.
We have been preparing this week for two baptisms that will take place next weekend. We are so excited. The young lady asked Elder Sheffer to baptize her and the young man is so excited to have his father come from Utah to baptize him.
We pray that you are all being blest. We know that the Lord loves you all.
